Emily Mazur
Emily graduated from Georgetown University in 2021, where she studied Biology of Global Health and English. Her undergraduate research in Dr. Mark Rose's lab investigated secretion as a regulator of cell fusion during mating in budding yeast. In 2022, she went on to work as a technician in Dr. Tom Rapoport's lab at Harvard Medical School, studying the role of REEP-family proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. Emily began her studies in the David Rockefeller Graduate Program in 2024 and joined the Alushin Lab in 2025, where her current work focuses on mechanisms of cellular force-sensing through the nucleus.
