OUR WORK
We are developing technology to visualize mechanically-regulated functional states of proteins in atomistic detail using cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), with a particular focus on the network of protein filaments, molecular motor proteins, and associated partners known as the cytoskeleton. We are also working to identify molecules which transduce forces into biochemical signaling cascades that impact development and cancer, with the long-term goal of stimulating the discovery of therapeutics which target these processes.
