Qiulei received her B.A. and M.A. from Peking University in Chinese Language and Literature, followed by her Ph.D. from Harvard in East Asian Languages and Civilizations in 2011. In addition to her work with the Alushin lab, Qiulei is an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York in Classical and Oriental Studies and Comparative Literature.
